  •  Very well, since you ask. (0+ / 0-)

    1. It moves the focus off what I believe your main point should have been of your diary, your personal experiences with women who need abortions. I think if you edited more and left this stuff out, you'd have a better diary.

    2. It makes people like me, who otherwise support what you're saying, feel that you are insulting us. Personally, as I said in another spot, I'd rather not see you for any medical services now because of your patronizing remarks towards women like me who have deep religious faith.

abortions, it's also about women who claim to be anti-abortion who then seek abortions, juding all the while,

it's about how the extreme religion right is attacking choice and making real progress to the detriment of ALL women - no matter their beliefs or nonbeliefs.

i just cannot see how he is attacking ALL faith.  He says this, early in the diary

Regarding ardent religious believers of all religions, I question and impugn neither the passionate sincerity nor the noble and good intentions of many of them, and it is likely that most of my friends and colleagues in abortion care are religious believers.

there are few enough abortion providers. the religious right would do anything in their power to see that there are less and less.  i think he is courageous.  he works with a target on his head every single day.  you do that and see how you feel about those targeting you.

Believe me, he thinks anyone with religious faith is ignorant. He equates my beliefs with the 9-11 hijackers. Sorry. That's an insult.

I have no doubt he's a courageous person if he really is a doctor working in abortion care in the U.S. I'm sorry that his experiences there have so twisted him that he can't see the difference between a Unitarian Universalist and Osama bin Laden. I understand that he probably wouldn't be so militant if forced-birthers weren't so against him.

It doesn't make what he says right on this issue.

I know this diary has lots of component parts, Pandoras Box. I like a lot of it. I think it lacks focus and slams those with faith. That's what I'm criticizing, not the good stuff. I would have recommended and shared this diary without it. With it, I can't. I just can't.
