    but this year's employee contribution to SS is 4.2% on wages up to $106,800.  The employer's contribution is 6.2% of same wages.

    But yes, I agree that raising the cap to a) a high number or b) completely is the way to improve equity and also save SS as an insurance program.

    I woke up this morning only to realize, it's opposite day again.
