    Simpson doggedly repeating the falsehood that people are living longer.

    It's not a falsehood.  People are living longer than they did, even if you remove early mortality; your own chart shows this. So do the SS admin actuarial tables. Life expectancy at age 65 is higher now than it has been at any point in history for all groups, and it is expected to continue rising.

    Lambaste Simpson all you want for not understanding basic facts (clearly, he doesn't). But your criticism might carry more weight if you didn't misstate the facts yourself.
