    to for-profit insurance companies are declined (even after pre-authorization) or held in suspension for all kinds of information and reports while the physician waits, sometimes months, for payment. This is one reason many physicians in private practice are willing to take medicare patients -- claims submissions are simple and payment is quick. It's a case of time is money.
