    Thank you for your very good analysis. A few other data points would be helpful. How much is the annual voucher amount? Does the voucher come directly from the local school system  budget or is there some state support? What is the average amount of funding for a student in the MPS system and how does that compare to the voucher amount? Is there any data on how happy the parents are of the voucher system schools and the MPS schools?

          I'd have to read further too.

          In fact, I've now discovered that along with the report I linked in the previous comment, there's a whole body of analysis around the program in recent years.

          If I'd have known, I would probably have tossed up my hands and not even diaried, because I don't have time to read and digest all that.  But... too late now.  Diary's published.  :-)
