Decoupling economic growth from detrimental environmental impacts, and non-renewable resource constraints enables us to envision a higher quality of life, even though, we reduced per-capita resource use, and pollution generation.

What a great response to those cynics who suggest that environmentalists are "freeze-in-the-dark-Luddites."

In this report, we see quite the opposite.  Converting our world to clean, renewable energy, greater efficiency, and conservation, with innovation, wisdom, and technology, could enable us to achieve a new golden age, and avoid, the catastrophic future scenarios so many fear.

Yes, a huge challenge, but possible, and we need to focus as much attention, education, creativity, and hard work, as we can muster, to make it happen.

This report provides much needed encouragement at a time of much bleakness, and bad news.

The means is the ends in the process of becoming. - Mahatma Gandhi
