    my brother. She almost hemorraged to death.

    Two years later, when I showed up, she told the doctor's "Check carefully."

    "Sure, Mrs. X, sure."

    They didn't. What did she know about medicine? She almost hemorraged to death.

    My sister comes along six years later.  My father says, "She has this problem. Please check."
    Him they take seriously. They check.  They find retained placenta. They deal with it.

    No problem.

      It sounds like just because she was a woman they didn't listen.

      I hate to say that, but that's how it sounds.

      Haven't we gotten any better since the 1960's in how women are treated?
