  •  What amazed me about Julia's book (0+ / 0-)

    was that it was not so much recipes but technical methods, and the scientist in me could dissect them and think about why. So I didn't have to make her boeff burgoignonne to understand the two ways she seals the meat before she bakes it, etc.
