Davis has been running in this district for much longer than Corwin or Hochul have. He has to have some organization.

    •  Right, but that was Jack Davis (D-NY) (1+ / 0-)

He had Democratic organization behind him and the coattails of the party's nominee in any major races. Now, it's Jack Davis (TP-NY) and "TP" doesn't even really exist. I get the sense the Tea Partiers are awakening to the phoniness of his "Tea Party" candidacy and ready to bolt for Corwin. By the end, I anticipate Davis will only have some oblivious right-wing Independents and conservaDems in his favor.

probably kept its own voter files separate from the NYDP's. I'm not 100% certain how this works but I believe Davis would have coordinated with the NYDP during his previous campaigns but would have still had his own separate files as well. He'd have every right to use those this time without being a Parker Griffith-style dickface.

Is terribly excited about Jane Corwin either. I agree CJD will probably make a showing much lower than his standing in the most recent polls (I'm expecting he'll pull somewhere between 12-15%) but I think of the support he loses, it'll break something like 50R-20D-30DNV.
