    there was a supreme court ruling against customers who tried to sue AT&T.  The ruling pointed to the fact that AT&T included in its contracts that you (the customer) agree that you will not sue them either individually or in a class action lawsuit.  I suspect that every telecom involved with eavesdropping has included the same statement on their contracts.

    Lawsuits against the people involved in eavesdropping is not the problem, exposure and the extent to which they provide this service is.
