    It's hilarious that they are even considering it. With all the polls showing the Tea Party becoming "unfavorable" in the public's eye it would be a disaster for them to promote one at this point. The 2010 election fever is done and over with! The Tea Party is no longer the brand of the week!

    It may not be easy for them to understand, but electing a Tea Party candidate to the office of the president would be even more disastrous than what we already have in the U.S. House.

    The GOP is fighting an internal civil war for it's identity. The outcome is already apparent. The GOP will either become an extreme right party (very unlikely!) or it will have to clean house and amputate the Tea Party from it's ranks thus becoming a weaker less socially driven party than it has in the past.
