    no disrespect intended I have to say it is not ethical at all, its purely political. I'm not in any way questioning the ethics of either Brunner or Bowen. I have always liked Bowen but this is just petty on her part if she sticks to this, and if anything it was more petty of Brunner. Also I fully agree with sao:

    This holier-than-thou shtick - trying "to avoid even a perception of conflict of interest" - rings hollow considering the perception of conflict of interest that could have been created by her running for Congress.

    Proud member of the Indiana Democratic Party from IN-9. Was hoosierdem on SSP, but that username was already taken here :(
