campaigner.  He had no business beating Hatch and eventhough he said all that dumb stuff in the end it should not have been enough for Pawlenty to stay close and that is what makes him so good the fact that he has been getting ignored or made fun of in the press for the past 4 years on a national scale but decided to get in it is an indication of how well he manages these types of things.

Giving yourself a chance to win is what it's all about and he does that as well as anyone I have ever seen.

"Hey John, someone was quoted calling Obama a jungle bunny.", "It's okay buddy the person quoted was black." "Phew, I got worried there for a second."

    •  That last sentence is a great point (0+ / 0-)

Though I still don't think Hatch or Moe were great opponents.  He ran the kind of campaign and projected himself as the kind of candidate that one would need to do to win as a Republican in Minnesota... Can that translate to the national stage?  We'll see.

Like I said, I think that Pawlenty has a better shot than of any of the other Republican nominees, though that's more a slam on them than praise to him... Still, I don't think that, barring the economy getting significantly worse, his chances winning are too great:  Obama's a pretty damn good campaigner as well, and there is enough evidence that he has at least done a decent job.

I thought when the DFL ran Hatch and Moe that it was pushing a big rock uphill.  Niether one got me very excited, and I am a DFL diehard.  Prince Timmy gave himself the chance to win by not giving away what an a-hole he really is, but even so, he won by only a few percentage points over weak candidates.  And since then, he has shown his true colors.  He couldn't win Minnesota now, except for maybe the 6th district.

    •  Obama will crush that fucking prick. (0+ / 0-)

Especially if T-Pawn is really gonna go with that "courage" attack line on the guy who offed Bin Laden.

T-Pawn's brand of douchebaggery might sell in Minnesooota but it ain't gonna sell a lot of other places.

Plus, Romney is gonna fucking PWN T-Pawn in the money race.

Obama's wallet is the one that says Bad Motherfucker on it.
