    Look, few people would argue that there are some entitlements that need to be cut...some even eliminated or at least severely scrutinized.  But Medicare and Social Security?  I mean, these two "programs" are by far the leading government "entitlement" programs in favorability in the U.S.  Social Security recipients, in large part, actually live on what they get from that and without Medicare, just SOOOOOO many seniors wouldn't be able to afford health care coverage.  Both of these are scared IMHO and regardless of politics...these just have to be in a "hands-off" category.  

    Huge payouts to major oils...huge tax bennies to the major-rich...huge monetary "incentives" to just so many countries that actually are planning our demise...these are where our first efforts just have to be made when even considering reducing spending and increasing government revenue.  I could list a whole host of other things..too many to list on just a blog like this.

    Medicare?  Social Security?  If the repubs truly do try to attack these EXTREMELY popular and beneficial programs, they're signing their death warrant (and, of course, I mean that don't try to say I'm threatening something :-)
