of influencing our government enough to cease waging the most unpopular war in American history. With over 60% of the American people, according to the latest polls, against this war, Congress and the President still won't disengage. Afghanistan is a bloody and costly misadventure with no practical effect on terorism, its causes or prevention. This war is a $2 billion per week boondoggle that makes us look ineffective and weak to the rest of the world. The war in Afghanistan is exactly what Al Qaeda wanted us to do, over react and spend billions pursuing a phantom enemy in a quagmire, while spending billions more chasing the mirage of total security in the "homeland." Even after he's dead Bin Laden and his strategy haunt and impoverish us, what a calamity.
