    The Donkey Quilt -- made at Street Prophets by people who had not met -- designed by Aunt Arctic with a donkey block from the New Deal era.  This quilt was always intended for a drawing to benefit a Congressional candidate, preferably a veteran, who would stand against the wars.  It was made in 2006 -- and the wars are still draining us in blood and treasure.

    It has some wonderful signatures on it -- and we should do a drawing for it this year, don't you think?  Need the right candidate...

    The Community Quilt Project now has a website! And so do the Pootie Pads -- everypootie needs a Pootie Pad!

      I can imagine all kinds of possibilities for future quilts to be used as rewards, bribery, 'calling cards' for Progressives. . .  .
