reading up a bit on Chickasha after the tornado.  When I was watching the coverage after the storm, I saw families that looked like Native Americans checking on their destroyed homes there, and I was curious about the place.

being a Black man and living in Oklahoma, J.C. could show you how to get by.

For sure you can't be "militant" or "ungrateful" and praising God and family values is important, too.

        •  I think I recounted here asking Molly Ivins (0+ / 0-)

about him, figuring that as a Texan she'd know some scoop about a politician from Oklahoma.  She took it in a different direction, talking about black politicians on the rise.  Any way, she said that Ol' Julius Caesar Watts had a bit of a babymaking problem [or something to that effect, with eyebrow arched skyward].  Check out the early years section of his Wiki.  Oops.

          •  Something happened. He sure left politics (0+ / 0-)

real quick because his family was more important, or something.  I don't know what it was.  I just know that the GOP would love to have him in office somewhere right now.

He never was a nut, as in Allen West or Herman Cain.  He was as reasonable sounding as Michael Steele, and he was always more serious than Steele who will goof for a laugh every now and then.

            I'll go scrutinize the Wiki.
