    We had a very popular latina state rep on the ticket, and her supporters turned out in DROVES.

      with basically the entire remainder of the district (sans Elgin and DuPage, maybe) voting heavily Republican, Aurora alone wouldn't have been enough.

      Btw, Aurora voted for Foster over Laesch in the primary by 20 points, so clearly despite his supposed conservatism, Foster was still popular in the Democratic core of the district.
