of references to this kind of thing in the international press, but almost none in the US, where telecommunications corporations are king. You can argue heatedly on either side of the issue.

Is it true? We won't find out from domestic sources.

But it's probably worthwhile pondering the fact that there has been a huge push over the last 10 years or so to cover every bit of the planet's surface with wireless transmission, without actually doing any research ahead of time to see if the human organism will have an adverse reaction to living 24/7 in what resembles a giant microwave.

    Follow the money.

    •  RF radiation... (0+ / 0-)

...drops off at R^2; get twice as far from something and your radiation exposure drops by a factor of 4.  Putting aside cell phones (that are also harmless), any radiation source like a wireless router or cell tower is pretty much harmless even at a relatively close range.

The debate about cell phones is only because the wireless transmitter is being held so close to the head, and other posters have done a good job of explaining why the non-ionizing nature of the radiation renders it harmless (additionally, cell phones use a low-power transmitter anyway).

Besides, you talk about cell phones as if they are just a giant corporate moneymaking scheme. You ignore the tremendous usefulness of these devices. If it was just a scheme, no one would use them.
