    Judge Reinhardt's wife got paid money to attack Prop 8, and in that opinion he did a good job explaining why that is not a direct financial interest that requires recusal.  

    If Liberty Central, or any entity that paid his wife, were a PARTY to the case, he'd recuse himself.  That's the standard.  READ THE LINK.

      If you read the link you know that it was considered unethical 40 years ago, before Reinhardt was on the bench but now it is considered ethical because 'things change'.

      Of course, doing the right thing would make life more difficult so judges/lawyers make up the rules as they go.

      No wonder the public is sickened by lawyers.
