    resides with the idea that teenagers could work a little longer at Wendy's.  I think the problem is that this type of provision opens the door for a lot of companies to rely on low skilled, low paid, part time workers, to the detriment of full time staff (who probably need the benefits).

    But more importantly (to me) is the principle of the thing, which collectively with all the anti-union and anti-education policies that are being implemented , signify declining respect for working people.  This is emblematic of the classic GOP mindset that people just need to work harder to get ahead.... and let's start them off in their youth in that direction, the slashes to education funding notwithstanding.
