    Precedent, the 1999 case Littleton v. Prange.

    While fighting for marriage equality is --of course -- something that we should continue to do, it seems absurd to me that Texas defines a person only in terms of their chromosomes, which it did in Littleton.

    Frankly, it's demeaning to all of us.

    Are there any groups who might be willing to underwrite an appeal (assuming, of course, she's up to it)?
