    It's called ageism.

It frequently presents as a double standard, ie, blaming youth for the circumstances of their birth, education, upbringing, and status, instead of their parents or society (both are often fitting targets). Some ageists take it far enough to call for peeling back their voting rights (which has been suggested by various kossacks here, and is popular with the hard-right).

I notice that many recommends are given to the person who has a good answer, with hardly any given to the person who asks the right question. That is backwards to me; without that question, the good answer might never have come.

Ageism is in fact a prevalent prejudice, and is a historical pillar of conservatism. It is in fact a very acceptable prejudice publicly.

Conservatives want young people to fight their wars, buy their shit from the big-box store, and shut up. That'e ageism. Some want it de facto, and others want it systematic. The result doesn't differ much.
