owned underwear like that at some point in his adult life. He's not a child, you know.

He's had roommates, in college and (as Jon Stewart knows full well) at the beach. Roommates take pictures. They don't always tell YOU they took a picture. And if you were drinking at the time, YOU might not even remember - or know it happened at all.

It wasn't like it was a NAKED picture. He's got underwear on, and nothing is hanging out. There's no face, no identifying marks. You can't even really tell what the original orientation of the photo was - the guy in the pic might have been lying down, for that matter.

So you take a pic of your roommate in his underwear, asleep and possibly having a very nice dream. Guys do all kinds of stupid stuff.

20 yrs later (or more) you come across the pic, scan it and crop it so you can't tell who it is. Maybe you send it to him as a joke and say "Hey, remember this???"

    Stranger things have happened.

given the lighting I'm almost guessing, assuming the whole thing isn't photoshopped to to hell and back, that the person was lying down - the lighting comes from somewhere in front of the legs, not from above like you'd expect from a normal picture.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves. - William Pitt
