A complex, multi-variate science based on probability (heavily mathematical) and reliant on very long timelines...and therefore, completely incomprehensible to concrete, sequential fundamentalists who are most comfortable being told what to do and where to go...

Amazingly, studies show that most folks are most comfortable with Lamarckian models. Organisms get the traits they need or want... If you look at children's literature about animals, it's embedded there.

I will offer that bacteria, which reproduce extremely quickly in a favorable environment, sort of prove evolution because of resistance to antibiotics.  This is sort of like a movie of the human experience played at warp speed.

You remark about the LeMark idea is well taken.  No matter how often you cut off a cat's tail, its offspring likely will have long tails, unless it is the unfortunate one in Dr. Schrodinger's box, where the tail is not very important.  Sorry, had to try a science joke.

      Warmest regards,

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me over and over, then either I really love you blindly or I am a Republican.
