  •  Good point. (9+ / 0-)

Especially given how the Walker admin estimate to repair the "damage" the protestors supposedly did was over $2M.  $2M to repair the "damage" made by low tack painter's tape and snow & mud tromped in on boots.

With technical evaluation skills like this, you KNOW that they are being taken to the cleaners on the redecorating.  But that's what you get when you go no-bid to somebody's buddy.

    •  Actually, the original estimate (7+ / 0-)

of the cost to repair the so-called "damage" to the Capitol was $7.5 MILLION and it was put out there by Mike Huebsch, the current director of the Dept. of Administration and Walker lackey.  Turns out the actual cost to repair the Capitol was to be around $350,000----and I believe that included the cost of needed and planned repairs in addition to the costs due to the protests. Also turns out that the greatest cost of the protests was the $6 MILLION+ for paying overtime, meals, and reimbursing the local and county governments for their sending POLICE to be present during the protests.  NO ONE ever said that the number of police there was necessary---especially given that the protests were peaceful.  So, clearly the Walker junta got scared and over-reacted to the thousands of people who came to the Capitol over a several-weeks period of time.

Snotty Scotty Walker and the two FitzNutzie brothers have a big mouth when they've got State Patrol lackeys (who are led by the Fitznutzie brothers' dad) hidden in hallways in riot gear and forcing visitors to go through metal detectors to gain admittance, but thousands of people who let Walker know for at least a month in no uncertain terms every single day that they did not support him and his thugs scared the little creep so that he had to have his huge police presence in order to feel safe from the "rabble" who protested.  The cost of the police presence is how Huebsch got his $7.5 Million figure.  Heubsch is also an arrogant ass.

Objecting to our governor’s policies does not make a citizen of Wisconsin a criminal. Not yet, anyway. ~ nelangst
