    It seems the clinic you must go to in order to get the required certification that your medical condition is real and qualifies is most likely part of an already multi-state chain operation.  The company's owner is pulling down quite serious money, and the chain generates many millions in annual "revenue."  The local docs are strictly salaried form stampers who see patients all day long like a revolving door.

    Their fax machines were so busy it took us 5 hours to transmit a copy of her medical history to them prior to her appointment.

      it costs $150 at the clinic/doctor who spends about 20 minutes going over medical records to get the certification.  So, three patients an hour for eight hours a day is 3x8x$150= $3600 per day.  It's a fricken racket that soaks money out of desperate people.
