according to the article, as much as a month.

The Army Corps of Engineers usually tries to control flooding as much as possible by releasing water from upstream reservoirs, but another news article stated Montana had as much rain in the last couple of months as it normally gets all year.

So they have a pretty good idea how high the water will rise and how long it will last.

have upwards of 5 times their normal snow and water content this year. Astounding.

Moderation in most things. Except Reactors. IFR forever!

the Missouri snowmelt yet to come.

Even at their current rates of releasing water through the dams, the resevoirs sound like they're going to continue to climb.

Additional unexpected weather events in the next couple of months could make that worse (and unexpected weather events are beginning to be expected this season.)

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.
