    Court drawn maps tend to make either side very happy, but they tend to come out fair. I bet there is a majority minority district that ends up being about 40% white. And I think everything else will be drawn out from there

      If the court agrees to a minority-majority district based in North Las Vegas and extending to the older, more diverse parts of Las Vegas, then the new NV-01 will probably be 35-38% White CVAP. Latinos will probably have a plurality at anywhere from 38-45% CVAP, and African Americans will probably be somewhere around 9-14% CVAP.

      The demographic shift in the state makes 2-1-1 in our favor the "fairest" map.  The GOP would've liked to have avoided that, in favor of 1-1-2.  They won't get that.  And the population changes keep moving all districts in our favor during the decade.
