    Arab Spring and the events in Syria, specifically, having here, if any at all?

    Are Erdogan's ties to the Assad Regime hurting his chances?

      a subconscious effect on some people in Turkey, especially on the young.

      Events in Syria have not had much of an impact in Turkey so far other than some concern about a civil war breaking out and discussion about how an influx of refugees could be handled.

      Many in the CHP and MHP see PM Erdogan’s relations with Assad and Gaddafi as being ill-conceived and harmful.
