Boehner tries to revive it - big money for his districy, but it's been killed (for now).

The House Armed Services Committee voted 54 to 5 to make sure that General Electric Co (GE.N) and Rolls-Royce Group Plc (RR.L) could go on working on their alternate engine using their own funds, despite the Pentagon's formal cancellation of a competitive engine program last month.

      •  Wanna bet that the pentagon "finds" (0+ / 0-)

a way to send the taxpayer money, despite all promises to the contrary?

What we call god is merely a living creature with superior technology & understanding. If their fragile egos demand prayer, they lose that superiority.

        •  So the GE motor isn't dead , (0+ / 0-)

is being developed by the manufacturer ,
          and even after

          the Pentagon's formal cancellation
the pentagon is still going to fund it ?

GE has more money than god , they can spend it to keep on going .
If at some point they find a customer ...
