  •  Just yesterday I had a friend who posted (19+ / 0-)

that stupid anti Welfare meme as their status.

Here's a copy and paste of my response to it. I wrote this off the top of my head and probably could have explained it much better had I had more time and not been pissed off about it in the first place.

"It's unconstitutional and it's a scam. The Republican governor of Florida (Rick Scott) who is implementing this stupid bill owns private clinics throughout Florida that do drug testing. Republican crooks like Rick Scott are always looking for ways to line their pockets with money from the middle-class. It's the middle-class taxpayers who will get stuck funding the implementation of this stupid bill, not Rick Scott and his wealthy friends. But Rick Scott and his wealthy friends will benefit from it. It will cost Florida taxpayers way more to implement and run this program than it will ever save them in keeping a few people who have drug problems from applying for welfare benefits."

Drug testing is just one more way they steal our money.  Now the governor is mandating that lots and lots of money make its way into his pockets.  There ought to be a law...
