  •  I have a number of friends in their 20s (6+ / 0-)

who do have 2 facebook accounts. The worksafe family account, and the one with a nickname that they use for their friends who they feel like they don't want to hide things from.

Every time I post, link and comment on facebook, I do it knowing my mom will read it. Last winter, she asked about a cute girl who wished me happy birthday, and about the tone I had taken in replying...

I have two nearly grown sons, and two mid teen nieces.

None of them censor what they post, even though they know their Grandma, my Mom will see it.

I am not easily shocked, but they do surprise me at times.

My son said that if I don't like it, then I can "unfriend" him, and the nieces simply carry on regardless.

They are all well brought up, polite and very nice people, and they take the view that if I want to share their Facebook, then I have to let them do it their way.

So my approval is not required :) I can live with that for the pleasure of watching them enjoy life.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.
