    ... some Science Fiction stories related to everyone developing telepathy, then learning to live in a world where no one has any real secrets.  Who would have thought that this sort of revolution would be brought about by an electronic yearbook, faster mail, and electronic post-it notes on the wall (Twitter)?

    yes, there are a number of negatives.  On the other hand, people are starting to grow up realizing that (1) a lot of those people out there are a lot like them, even if they don't look like them, and (2) a lot of those people out there are different, even if they look like them, and finally that (3) neither of those conditions is inherently positive or negative.  It gives me some hope for making understanding more common.

    A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.
