  •  Of Course such "clarification" is way too tough (4+ / 0-)

for our Democrats in Congress to manage.

It's one thing to needlessly piss us off.  I mean we're come to expect that.

But they are still operating as if none of this relates to the 2012 election.

They just throw out the general language that they know is going to confuse the public as to our stand on this key 2012 election issue and give the GOP fodder for the "Dems Cut Medicare" message.

It's like the Democrats have political alzheimers. They have already forgotten the GOP manipulation and distortion of the PPACA cuts that helped the GOP win a House majority.

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.

    •  I agree, a clear statement would be helpful. (2+ / 0-)

But let's keep in mind, this was an answer to a question as he was walking down the hall.  This wasn't a press release or a policy pronouncement.

Art is the handmaid of human good.

      •  Sure. But that doesn't prevent them from (0+ / 0-)

following up with or predeeding these negotiations with that kind of discussion.

They still have not clued into the impact non-election public opinion can have to assist or burden legislative activities.

If the health care reform "debate" and negotiation did not teach them that, nothing evidently will.

We'd rather dream the American Dream than fight to live it or to give it to our kids. What a shame. What an awful, awful shame.
