      That you don't even bother to go vote in the next election, or throw your vote away on some 3rd party candidate. Then you'll wake up one morning and have something groteque like a President Bachmann to greet you.
      This isn't American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. Voting and electoral participation is a pragmatic undertaking, not a way to express an opinion or displeasure with a particular candidate. It's more often than not a choice between the lesser of two evils.
      Next time you you down the road of there's no difference between the two parties Nader thing, think about how different this country would be coming out of 8 years of a Gore presidency vs the long nightmare of Bush.

      Just another day in Oceania.

      •  That could happen. Doesn't that mean we should NOT (0+ / 0-)

        let the double standard continue?

        For the pragmatic reason that it disgusts so many in the base (myself included) when our leadership lacks all backbone in calling out Republicans for bad behavior, but cravenly backs down to hypocritical GOP posturing when it is a Democrat, thereby sapping enthusiasm for our Party to no good end?

        One nation, indivisible.
