It's got hints, it's not the last word of course. There never is one, until extinction catches up with us tailless apes...

but most Americans have been afflicted with Neitzsche and nihilism. Most people I know are terrified of the future, and have bought into the whole GOP fantasyland as their only salvation.

As absurd as that is, they don't seem to really believe in much else.

hasn't been a more vigorous co-opter of the 'freedom' meme.

Everything about freedom today is no unions, libertarian winner take all, freedom from taxes.

Unions need to do a better job at saying the obvious- collectively bargaining for better wages and benefits is the most freedom increasing agenda out there.

        •  Labor does the blue-collar patriot thing, but (0+ / 0-)

why call out the unions? Too many of them are saddled with many of the same kinds of weird mentation and predatory leadership that sucker punch the rest of us. EVERYone needs to stand up and say NO MORE, WE'VE HAD ENOUGH, AND YOU HAVE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH.

And keep in mind that there is enough to go around, if we all share, and all animals are equal, period.
