  •  Thomas, the Health Care case and resignation (9+ / 0-)

    At the very least, we should bring every bit of pressure we can muster to make sure Thomas recuses himself when that case reaches SCOTUS.

    Thomas should resign or be impeached (yeah I know - the House will not impeach, the Senate will not convict). Whatever we can do should be directed at resignation. Even if Thomas discovered some sense of honor and was willing to resign, the Right would pressure him to stay on unless or until Obama was out of office.

    Still, this is a fight very much worth making.

      Since the amount of pressure we can muster is 0... there, done!  We've now applied the maximum amount of pressure we can muster.

      This is easy enough for the media to understand, it is clearcut, and the Dems have an interest in preserving their major legislative accomplishment.

      The scientific uncertainty doesn't mean that climate change isn't actually happening.

      Even some of our most notable lawyers here at DKOS, including Adam B, do not think there is any basis for Thomas to recuse on ACA.
