  •  Sometimes I think (6+ / 0-)

    the party leadership intentionally fails.
And then I see luminaries leave public office and take high-paying lobbyist jobs and I feel almost certain.

    •  I actually had that thought as well (6+ / 0-)

I know this sounds like CT, but I sometimes think that Democrats would prefer to be in the minority.  They will wax poetically about how terrible the republicans are, but secretly they prefer to be in the minority because then they don't have to do anything that will help out the average American that will piss off their corporate overlords.

I can't seem to find the quote, but there was a democratic staffer who was "relieved" that Brown won the MA Senate race because they no longer had 60 votes in their caucus, so the "moderates" would no longer be on the "hot seat" for not supporting things like the PO or the EFCA.

The Democrats have had a HUGE majority in the House and control of the Senate since January 2007.  I will admit that Pelosi did send many bills to the Senate, only to have the ultimate Democratic coward Harry Reid allow them to die.

Republicans can have a razor thin majority, but they will go all out getting their agenda passed.  I hate republican politicians with a passion, but I reluctantly admire the fact that they are never afraid to push their agenda.

Democrats, on the other hand, are completely worthless.

You want my ideas on improving education? Whatever Arne Duncan proposes, do the opposite.

a liar, and then when they open their mouth, you're sure they're a liar.

To every millionaire who decries they don't want their grandchildren paying for the deficit, I say: PAY MORE TAXES NOW and your grandkids won't have a deficit burden.
