  •  I was so disappointed in my state (5+ / 0-)

when we elected Kasich (Ohio).  People believed the ads he ran against Strickland saying we lost 400k jobs under Strickland... which was true but NOT Strickland's fault, as I recall we had a country-wide economic collapse that wasn't specific to Ohio.  But what did we do?  Elect the guy who worked for Lehman Brothers up to and during the financial meltdown.  THAT will make things better.

In fact, Ohio has lost the 400,000 jobs since 1998.  Clever Mr. Ka$ich used the numbers incorrectly. A big ad buy the weekend before the election pushed His Royal HighnAss just over the top, but he won by less than 50%. I can't find anyone that admits to voting for him now!
I am a public school teacher and I knew he would be like the Plague. Fortunately, we do have referendums and the legislature may have gotten enough calls and letters to put the brakes on some of the most egregious plans put forth by Murdoch's Boy Governor.
