    I'm glad you brought that up (41+ / 0-)

Anti-Muslim bigotry may be an issue and we encourage you to write a diary about it with your own examples. However this diary is about antisemitism and the examples we have cited here.

About the specific examples you have may have in mind, we have discussed in the past why we disagree with your characterization, however we do not want to rehash that entire discussion here. Again, you are encouraged to post your own diary with examples for the community.

Nothing in that states that a) it doesn't exist, nor b) that it is in any way diminished.  It simply points out that the diary is about one particular type of bias on dKos.  Your original claim was that you were told that it does not exist.  That is not supported by the facts.

If you say something may exist, you are by definition saying it may not exist.

      •  Let's try this, again. (9+ / 0-)

        emphasis mine.

        You stated:

        This diary can't exist (0+ / 0-)

because anti-Muslim and anti-Arab bigotry doesn't exist at Daily Kos -- that's what I heard elsewhere.

        Again, emphasis mine.

Trying to turn a comment which simply says "Hey, that may well be, but we are discussing a different particular form of bias" into "anti-Muslim and anti-Arab bigotry doesn't exist at Daily Kos" is disingenuous at best -- and outright deceptive at worst.

You are simply jumping through mental hoops in order to diminish a diary which got a lot of support -- a fact which obviously sticks in your craw.   In doing so, you diminish any actual discussion of the anti-Arab bigotry that is inherent in this diary.

I wish I could have signed on.

And it would have gotten a lot more support had it not included dishonest charges of anti-Semitism and been written by someone who's in a group with an anti-Muslim bigot who was an original co-signer, as my 60 plus upraters indicates.

Honestly, only fewer than 300 rec for a diary denouncing bigotry is piss poor support.

          •  since this is a troll diary anyway... (10+ / 0-)

i have to say - you really are amazingly awful. gloating about how little or much support of anti-semitism by the community? my ass you are who you say you are.

not that i care really - but your contribution is pretty humourous if nothing else.

What the hell are you implying? You might notice I'm of those strange birds who blogs under my real name.

Not gloating at all. I was responding to a comment claiming that I was bothered because the diary received a lot of support. So I pointed out that it would have received a lot more support, including from me, had it been written by a more credible source and written in a more honest way.

If, say, Heathlander had written it, it would have received 500 recs, and not just because it would have been better written.

Heathlander has written a diary like that:

Restoring The Palestinian Voice To Daily Kos

You can count the recommenders yourself, if you wish:

It's also worth pointing out that of those recommenders, if I count it right, nineteen have since been banned, some for antisemitism. Others just for being assholes, of course.

Mizner isn't known for honest argument. Team P in general has a habit of, shall we say, quite selective editing of things their opponents say.
