I've been wondering that also. Winter comes early to Minot-they have to wait for the water to drain and start cleaning up. Winter will be there by end of October. They won't be ready.

I'd take a bullet for Neil Gaiman.

    •  Is there any FEMA money left, since the Rs won't (0+ / 0-)

appropriate any for any blue state.

      •  FEMA has approved them (0+ / 0-)

for Individual Assistance as of Friday night.  1/4 of transport of goods goes thru the area, plus MINOT AFB being their Nuclear Readinesss Center make it too strategic not to help.  That and the fact it's Republican in nature in Washington. Kent Conrad has a reputation as being fiscally conservative.  I think Hoeven is a Republican Senator.  Dorgan, now retired, had a stolid reputation.  NDak also is doing well employment wise - oil/gas fields are booming.  That's part of the problem.  There aren't any motel/hotel rooms for miles around because Halliburton and the like have soaked them up.

I know I'll be heading up there to help daughtermine as soon as an all clear is given.

Just give me a good patch of dirt and I'll show you growth and well-being!
