Its good that Big Al got under their skin.  We probably need to prepare for a lot more censorship here with The Re-Election Campaign (TM) getting under way.

I'm looking forward to what the admin will be saying in their stump speeches.

Call me negative but we still have soldiers dying in Iraq (more soldiers died in Iraq "the war that is over" in June then in 2 years), 75k+ in Afghanistan, we have a remote control war in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen, we have an air + CIA war in in Libya, there was no public option and no real cost control in the health care reform, Gitmo is still open, NOBODY has been prosecuted for war crimes (in fact, you can make a good argument that the current administration is now complicit in war crimes as well), unemployment is still high, taxes for billionaires are lower than ever, the housing crisis is still reverberating, no banksters put in jail and the list goes on and on.

I'm curious to see how Obama is going to campaign. What is he going to "promise" in this campaign? What will his agenda be? Will it be the agenda he ran on in 2008? You can't campaign on things you said last time and didn't fulfill. You can't run on "changing Washington" when it hasn't changed and in fact has gotten worse, you can't run on no lobbyists in your WH when you had lobbyists in your WH.

I realize he has a big ego, but he's going to have a really difficult time ignoring the shitty economy.

If he wins, I'll spend the first and every following day working to replace him with a better Democrat.  He's worse than useless, he's a DINO.

If you look at the exit polls of the 2010 midterms, the overwhelming response was the economy and I suspect it will still be so for the most part. Sure, you will have single issue voters (either on the right or the left) but the average person who votes in the Presidential elections is going to be looking at things that effect them the most and that is the money in their pockets, or lack thereof aka the economy and jobs.

          •  No POTUS has won re-election w/ high unemployment (0+ / 0-)

no matter how many billions they raise for their campaign.

The situation is ripe for a third party challenger, as unemployment rates stall and begin to rise again.

Why not just fix the problem? It would be so much easier.
