    Yes, I agree that people are chiefly interested in the most recent 10 years of your experience.  But never throw your old resume away!  If a job comes up that you could apply for, you can mine that old resume for experience that fits.  Then you would use the category Highlights of Relevant Experience rather than simply Experience.

    As to not graduating from a "name" school--whoever authorized that advertisement is being picky and snobbish.  Qualifications are qualifications.  The entire population of the USA can't go to Harvard and Yale!

    Sounds to me as if these recruiters fit the "by the book" category, my pet peeve.

    In your case, I'd start with my biggest asset--probably Experience--and put Education at the bottom of the resume.  By the time you've hooked them to the point of reading the whole resume, they may be in the mood to overlook the name of the university.
