watch The Daily Show. They watch Fox News or professional wrestling, maybe American Idol if they're looking for some culture.

So two weeks ago Jon goes on Fox for an interview with Chris Wallace, who subsequently alters, edits, changes the interview so that Fox looks like the legitimate news organization and Jon looks like a, well, a crazy liberal.

Has Jon convinced a single Fox viewer that Fox is full of it, or did he actually give Fox two weeks (at least) worth of interview footage that will prove to Fox viewers liberals are insane?  Well, you already know the answer.

Why, oh why do Liberals and Democrats continue to go on Fox where their statements are either eliminated or altered so that they appear to be saying the opposite or something completely different?

NEVER GO ON FOX NEWS! What is so hard to understand about this?

to be misrepresented on faux, for everybody else, you're right.

I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.

    •  it isn't about fox viewers (4+ / 0-)

You can't catch someone who's already fallen down a cliff.  What Stewart is doing is for the mass of ordinary Americans who don't watch Fox News (which would be 97% of us, btw), but who don't follow news much at all, and just figure it's another news operation.  You know, the people near the edge of the cliff, who might think it harmless to just peek over the lip...

The point is to lead ordinary people to not wanting anything to do with Fox News.  We see Obama doing the same thing--- let the people see the conservatives' true colors, and let us judge for ourselves.  Fox's ratings are dropping faster than their demographic is dying out.  They might always have their niche viewers, but as long as the casual viewer is repulsed, they'll be effectively broken.

    •  This was Fox News Sunday... (3+ / 0-)

which is on broadcast TV, not just cable.  It reaches a much wider audience than Fox News does.  You had a lot of people who aren't dyed-in-the-wool conservatives catch Jon's interview with Chris Wallace.  Some of them may have gotten curious afterwards, and flipped on the Daily Show to see what Jon does on a regular basis.
