        (although do we really know for sure?) but he actively lobbied for the rights of pedophile protectors over those of the victims when he represented the Catholic diocese. It's on videotape. There was a time when, if your second cousin you hadn't seen in 20 years was a public defender in another state who defended someone acquitted of child sex abuse, you couldn't think of running for office. Now you can be on record saying that the finances of the diocese trump the rights of an abuse victim and still get elected. The world has turned upset down.
