This would appear to be a basis for some serious legal actions to be taken against the company that used to be called "Massey Energy" before they apparently greenwashed their corporate identity in an attempt to put their pesky past behind them.

Before they dance happily off into the sunset, with their new image-consultants holding their hands, they should be required to compensate the families of those who died in the various Massey mines.  Sadly, there is a long time tendency to value the lives of workers at a far lower basis than the lives of mining company owners.  It is not based on the value of an individual human life, but on their lifetime earning potential and hence their economic value to their families.  Or so it has seemed to me.  Others can probably correct me on this, but I suspect Massey viewed their workers as a form of raw material.
