    sale of myspace was not disclosed, rules of the market state that such a brutal loss is acceptable only if the product will guaranteedly keep losing value.

    Myspace has been stagnating and shrinking for about to past 4 years, as it bled well over half its userbase to FB. The reason it was sold is because its only going to get worse, and MC wanted to keep at least a fraction of its investment.

    Facebook, which generates well over 100 million unique visitors daily is pumping such revenue that it wood be foolish for the holder to go and sell it.

      they will be able to protect their privacy more easily with them rather than Facebook, users will fly away from Facebook.

      Facebook is every bit as ethereal as MySpace.  I can't wait for it to fall on its ass, so we can call it "Assbook."

        95% could care less if they are already on facebook...

        not to mention those with true privacy concerns would not Google as the best option....

          don't understand the extent of their privacy surrender.

          On point b), largely agree.  Each comparable, free service that that is progressively less invasive and less promotional will tend to grow.
