. . . didn't mention Feingold at all. Where are you getting the idea that Kind will wait to see what Feingold does before making a decision?

28, chick, solid progressive, NY-14 currently, FL-22 native, went to school in IL-01.

But Feingold will not beaten in a primary. You can bash Feingold all you want for being a weak candidate but Kind will not beat him in a Demcoratic primary

    •  I can definitly say Baldwin (1+ / 0-)

isn't waiting. I think she knows Feingold isn't running.

would happen, as they both have the same sort of base and there isn't much difference in issue stands between them.  Baldwin, however, does seem to be somewhat more practical, in that while a thoroughly committed progressive she probably won't deliberately handicap her own campaign in terms of refusing outside fundraising and campaign help, or make such a big deal of taking principled but lonely stands rather than getting things done when in office.

The problem with Baldwin is that she's been in Congress for 6 terms (including her current term) and she's still largely known more for who she is than anything she's actually done. She's got all the right positions for the base but she hasn't really taken a leadership position on too many issues.
