    As a teacher, for many years, it was really hard to hear the lionizing of Ted Kennedy (though I did agree with him on many other issues) when I knew that he had joined with Republican elites to sponsor the execrable No Child Left Behind Act.

    It's kind of like how I feel about Obama, actually, who (though I agree with him on many other issues) is furthering the cause of expensive ignorance in the nations school systems.

    The success of bipartisan anti-education propaganda in this country, particularly in its effective targeting of elites, has been total.  In coming centuries it will be a text book case, assuming, of course, that there will be any school system left for there to be textbooks.

    None of this makes a bit of difference if they don't count your vote.
